Zaiden x Winter 2016 Litter
We went west when choosing Winter's next boyfriend and are happy to announce that it will be Zaiden. Zaiden is a half brother to the boy we used for Vicky's 2015 litter. We are very excited to see what Winter and Zaiden will produce together.

Here is what his breeder/co-owner Sherrie Todd has to say about him:
"Zaiden's side gait would have put most specials to shame at 5 weeks old, I used to watch him in the backyard playing with his litter mates and try and figure out how I could keep another intact boy. Just like his gait, he seems to do everything with reach and drive, finishing his championship (when he was 18 months old) and grand champion titles with big majors. He is also a strong lure courser. Even though he didn't start his coursing until he was mostly done with his conformation title, he is one little point away from becoming a dual champion. I am thinking he is waiting for a major :)"

Update: January 2016 We are all waiting on Winter to come into season. Here she is just kickin back with her momma, Scarlet (foreground) on the couch.
January 22: Winter has come into season. We will start to monitor her progesterone level on January 28.
February 5, 6 and 9 Winter went to see the reproductive veterinarian to be artificially inseminated. Everything went very well and on March 7th we will be heading back to the vet for a ultrasound to confirm if she is pregnant.
March 7: Winter was confirmed pregnant today via ultrasound but the vet only saw one single puppy. At this time we are not taking any more inquiries for puppies.
It's a boy
Winter delivered, via c-section, a healthy baby boy on April 8, 2016. As you can see in the pictures our little guy has a white boot on his front leg along with white toes on the rest of his feet and white on his chest. So far Winter is being a great momma to her little boy.
Being a singleton does have some perks...you get all the love and attention from mom as you need. One of the biggest challenges is to get that puppy interaction that all puppies need. Luckily we have friends that had a litter of ridgebacks that are only 6 days older than our little man. So he had a couple play dates and and couple of sleepovers with that litter. He fit right in.
